THE STRIKING CONTRASTS OF BLACK AND WHITE A new look at Black Work - A One or Two Day Workshop > Use bonding and transfoils. > Embellish with stitching - all in glorious combinations of black and white. > Each student will make small stitched squares, which will contribute to a larger communal piece for your Guild or Group. Choose your own image maybe a local landmark or building that is special to your Branch.
REMOVE and REPLACE A fresh look at Drawn Thread Work - A One or Two Day Workshop > Add colour! > Pull threads to rearrange the colour pattern to make interesting colour mixtures and a loopy surface. > Draw out threads from the weave and replace them back into the fabric in different patterns. > Withdraw threads and replace with interesting yarns, ribbons and strips of paper.
Discover the exciting technique of SHIBORI A One or Two Day Workshop > Create dramatic and permanent relief shapes in fabric using the simple Japanese method of steaming setting. > Tie and bind the fabric into different formations before being steamed for 10 minutes to set the shapes. The ties and stitches are then removed to reveal the exciting results.

A One or Two-Day Workshop > Learn how to 'dip-dye' silk fabric to produce multi-coloured fabrics in Siân's individual way. > Wrap, twist and bind around shapes to create richly decorated surfaces. Create embroidered wrapped embellishments that could form gorgeous jewellery forms, interior decoration trimmings or small sculptural shapes. > Discover the use of magnets.

Would you like to get into Patchwork & Quilting? Or do you already know some quilting techniques but not others? If you can answer yes to either of those questions, then read on I am now running the beginners workshops at Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane Frodsham, Cheshire WA6 7QN and the current dates are below:

There are a limited number of places still available in all of these. If you are interested in the sessions but the dates don't suit you, further dates will be available soon including weekends and evenings.
